More than 30 years ago, C. Wright Mills, sociologist and a kind of prophet wrote that our civilization resembles a galley propelled by the force of rowers. The boatmen remain and row in the galley’s hold without seeing the world outside. The overseer beats the drum determining the rhythm of the oar strokes. But also the drummer is in the ship’s hold and knows nothing about what happens in the outside. The drummer increases the rhythm thus also increasing the galley’s speed more and more. Only speed is important to the drummer.

But there is a problem: nobody, not the overseer nor the rowers have the slightest idea where the galley is heading to….The idea that the galley may crash against a cliff and shipwreck does not cross their minds. They only think about speed.

I thought this metaphor could also be applied to the companies: each company is a galley moved by the force of its rowers, their employees….

I wrote these words based on my experience working with Nutriplus, my conversations with its leaders. They talk about subjects much more transcendent than the products of their companies. They talk about education, art, cooking, literature, hope for a better world. They are concerned about the destiny of our Earth, so threatened. Is speed important? Sure it is! The company must survive. But more important than speed are the dreams in the minds and in the words of the leaders and the guided ones. I feel happy in your company. I understand nothing about speed….but when it comes to dreams, I have a lot to share….

Nutriplus has been rendering outsourced food catering services in an integrated manner since 1989 by promoting suitable food habits, therefore providing health and quality to the attended children. Comprehensive actions, such as scientific updating of the professional nutritionists and incentives to the people who prepare the meals, thus playing a crucial role in handling the food served to the children, as well as periodical trainings in order to grant the suitable application and utilization of the food, reinforce the quality and value the manpower.

Nutriplus also offers suitable capacitation to teachers so they can transmit Nutrition concepts to their pupils in an efficient manner. Nutriplus assumes school catering in Morungaba

On this Monday, February 2nd, Nutriplus Alimentação assumes the school catering of state and municipal schools in the climatic spatown Morungaba. The city is very well known for its landscapes; grape, fig, orange and peach growing, besides of the production of jams, sweets and spices. Morungaba also encourages sports activities: whilst the gentlemen attend equestrian centers, motorcyclists and bikers advance into the countryside.    

From the moment the company was announced winner of the bid, Nutriplus Alimentação started the works in the city, thus hiring and training employees and taking care of the schools’ maintenance and supply in order to start the services next week.

Nutriplus participates in Family Farming workshop promoted by th

In the first November week, the Espirito Santo State Secretariat for Education accomplished a Workshop about Integrated Management for Family Farming Supplies for School Catering. The event’s purpose was promoting the interaction among the Secretariat, the outsourced companies and the family farming cooperatives and associations which deliver the products, in order to accomplish a better organization of the food supply process within the state school net.

During the event, the assistant secretary for Education Support, Aurélio Meneguelli Ribeiro, welcomed the representatives of the present companies and spoke about the school catering system and management by the Secretariat. After the presentation, Marketing Manager Nutriplus, Antônio Valini, gave a lecture on the emergence of outsourcing, responsibilities and benefits of outsourcing companies and the evolution of school catering.

According to the Manager for School Support, Alexandre Aquino de Freitas Cunha, the workshop was very important as it helped to upgrade the scholars’ nutrition management and execution. “This kind of integration improves the process of all of the project’s participants, as well as the processes of the Public Administration itself, since it allows improving the management”, he explained. As reported by Alexandre, the active participation of all the involved was one of the highlights. “People could clear up doubts, make improvement suggestions and this is very nice. So we can all work together in favor of the education units, always striving for quality in family farming thus ensuring quality food. Everybody has understood the purpose of this meeting”, he asseverated.

CAE School Meal Council of São Francisco do Sul visits Nutriplus

On October 16th, the CAE – School Meal Council of São Francisco do Sul represented by its president José Carlos Dias and by the advisor Édeli de Ramos Pereira, as well as the Department of Education represented by the administration assistant Salete Alves David Falkevicz and nutritionist Carla Lucia dos Santos Gonçalves, visited the main offices of Nutriplus Alimentação, where they could get to know the structure behind the services provided to that city.

The visitors were welcomed by Marketing Manager Antonio Carlos Valini, and had the opportunity to follow the entire logistic process and to know specific subjects of the supply department, controls of the quality department as to the standard food preparation and safety, as well as the approval of suppliers. According to CAE President, the strong points observed during the visit were both the company organization and the stringent controls. On the other hand, the Education Department’s nutritionist Carla Lucia emphasized the importance of knowing the company that provides the school catering and that all the related procedures are carried out with care and safety.

Consul General of the People’s Republic of China visits Nutriplu

On August 26th, the chairman of Nutriplus Alimentação and the Group JLJ Empresas, Ignácio de Moraes Júnior, and the City Mayor of the of Salto, Juvenil Cirelli, welcomed the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China Chen Li, who was in the city of Salto in order to visit the town and the facilities of JLJ Empresas, a Group of companies with connections in China.

 

Accompanied by his staff, the Consul General was received by chairman JLJ Empresas, Ignácio de Moraes Júnior, at the main offices of Nutriplus Alimentação, one of the Group’s companies located in the Industrial District of Salto. After a welcome meeting, the representative of the Chinese Head of State, the chairman of JLJ Empresas and the city mayor of Salto visited the facilities of Nutriplus and other companies of the Group.

 

During the visit, the Consul talked about the actions performed by the company in his country and emphasized the relevance of the business for both nations.

Once the visit was ended, Chen Xi, the representatives and the chairman of JLJ Empresas were welcomed by city mayor Juvenil Crivelli at the City Hall. Deputy Mayor Ms. Jussara Vilaça (PT) and the Government’s municipal secretary Luis Eduardo Collaço were also present. 

 

After the meeting, the Group visited the Touristic Complex Cachoeira, the Tietê River Memorial and the image of the city patroness Our Lady of Monte Serrat – three main touristic points of Salto. Soon after, the Consul and his staff, the city mayor and the chairman Group JLJ went up to Nutriplus’ main offices for lunch.

 

According to city mayor Juvenil Cirelli, the visit of the representative of the People’s Republic of China was very positive for the city of Salto, especially as the Consul himself proposed to promote the city’s name in the Asian country. “The Group JLJ is headquartered in Salto and already has strong connections with China. The Consul General could notice the seriousness of our work thus reinforcing our image”. The chief of Salto’s executive power also thanked the support given by JLJ Empresas on behalf of its CEO Ignácio de Moraes Júnior, who arranged the Consul’s trip to Salto.

BBCA Nutriplus exports over one million glasses to the Winery “C

The company Shanghai  BBCA Nutriplus Co., which belongs to the Group JLJ Empresas, was responsible for the export of over one million glasses for whisky, rum and vodka (9 containers – 12 thousand boxes) from Anhui (China) to the Winery “Cereser” (CRS Brands Ind. e Com. Ltda).

The complete documentation was elaborated, verified and corrected in order to facilitate the customs clearance and to avoid any problem in both the Nanjing Harbor in China and the Port of Santos in Brazil, and the cargo was parameterized as per Green Channel Clearance, thus everything was perfectly organized.

The Winery’s management expressed great satisfaction about the support provided by Nutriplus BBCA during the entire commercial process. The managers also emphasized the special attention given to the Cereser Purchase Department’s Manager by our partners in China during his visit to China at the beginning of this year, on occasion of the internal audit carried to get the approval for this operation.

On last August 8th, the council members of Rancharia, Katiuscia Cristina Pereira, Pedro Neto, Ubirajara R.de Souza, Pedro de Lima Pinto and Osmarino Leite visited the headquarters of Nutriplus Alimentação, where they could get in touch with the entire support structure to the subsidiary and the services provided in the above named city.

Valéria Barcella – Director Operations and Antonio Carlos Valini – Marketing Manager welcomed the council members, who could get to know the entire logistics process, the supply department specifications, the quality department controls as to the approval of suppliers, among others. According to council member Osmarino Leite, the visit was important for reinforcing the confidence in the services provided by Nutriplus in the city of Rancharia.

Nutriplus takes over school catering in Salvador / BA

Nutriplus Alimentação just won the bid for the supplying school catering service to the state public schools in the city of Salvador, Bahia, starting today, June 2nd.
Once Nutriplus Alimentação was chosen as winning bidder, the company started the installation of physical structure facilities in the city and hired almost 100 employees, among them food preparation workers, nutritionists, administration personnel and drivers.

The President of JLJ Empresas, Ignácio de Moraes Junior, visited Ms. Hu Ying – Deputy Consul General and Mr. Yu Yong  - Commercial Economic Advisor, at the Chinese Consulate-General in São Paulo, on Tuesday, May 27th. Accompanied by the major of Salto - Juvenil Cirelli, the Director of International Relations JLJ - José Augusto Gonçalves and the Marketing Manager – Antonio Valini, Ignácio de Moraes and the city major Juvenil made a presentation of the city and demonstrated the JLJ Group’s potential to the authorities.
On  that occasion, Ignácio de Moraes spoke about the business done by the Group and the investments between Brazil and China.Deputy Consul Hu Ying was amazed to learn about the already existing partnership between both countries and made herself available for any help necessary to strengthen the commercial relations.“Among our business relations with China, Nutriplus, one of our Group’s companies,  has created a joint venture with the China BBCA Group Corp. for the export of foodstuff”, he said. The Group’s President also mentioned the van and small truck business with the company Relay, vehicles that are imported from China and commercialized by Venko Motors do Brasil, another company belonging to theJLJ Group. “The Brazil-China Axis is very promising and has much room for growth. We Brazilians have plenty of raw material and you Chinese have the technology and the necessary manpower for expanding our partnership”, he concluded.

Ambassadors from Algiers and Senegal visit JLJ Empresas

During the last week of March, JLJ Empresas received the visit of the Ambassadors from Algiers and Senegal, who came in order to achieve a diplomatic agenda representing their countries. Chairman JLJ Empresas, Ignacio de Morais Junior, greeted the Ambassadors and their entourages, and all visitors could know the great potential and the activities performed by the JLJ Group. The meeting was quite convenient to the JLJ’s management, as the Group of companies could be introduced to both the countries striving for doing business with Brazil.
The ambassadors’ visit ended with a lunch on March 31st and could count on the presence of Chairman JLJ Empresas, Ignacio de Morais Juniuor, the Ambassador to Senegal, El Hadji Amadou Niang, the Ambassador to Algiers, Djamel-Eddine Bennaoum, the City Mayor of Salto, Juvenil Cirelli, the deputy City Mayor of Salto, Jussara Vilaça, the representative of Salto’s Green Party, Ângelo Domingos Nucci, Sorocaba City Council adviser, Jessé Loures, Salto City Economic Development, Labor and Tourism Bureau representative, Eliana Moreira and the President of Saslto’s Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural Association, Schneyder Bonafé de Barros.

Nutriplus opens Restaurant at Viracopos International Airport

The new Restaurant and the new Cafe Bar at Viracopos International Airport started its operations on this Tuesday, March 25th. Located at nearly 200 m from the passenger terminal, the Restaurant “Cozinha Prime” belonging to Nutriplus Alimentação will serve meals from R$ 9 up. The restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and provide for the terminal passengers and the entire airport community, expecting to cater for around 800 people daily.

Currently, Nutriplus Alimentação manages more than 3 thousand meal production and distribution sites (restaurants and kitchens) located in industrial premises, hospitals, social entities and schools, from Bahia to Southern Chile. The entire operation is coordinated by 450 nutritionists and supplied by 11 distribution centers settled in 5 countries. As a whole, over 2 million meals are served on a daily basis. All this know how acquired in the course of 30 years of activity will allow Nutriplus Alimentação to offer quality food & beverage and remarkable attention to the Viracopos Airport. 

By means of this partnership, the management of  Nutriplus Alimentação hopes to meet and exceed the expectations of the Viracopos International Airport in Brazil,  within the premises of the soon-to-be largest cargo and passenger airport in Latin America. “Such expertise in addition to the evolution of  Nutriplus Alimentação will entail more airport business to the Group”.

Parents are satisfied with school catering in Rancharia

Responsible for the school catering in the city of Rancharia since last February 10th, Nutriplus Alimentação, a pioneer in the school meal outsourcing process in Latin America, already gained the recognition of pupils, parents and directors by delivering healthy, safe and balanced food.   
With a staff composed by 58 meal preparers and 12 nutritionists in the service implantation phase, Nutriplus delivers, o a daily basis, 1211 meals to entities, 150 to the EJA (young and adult education), 3589 to infantile and elementary school education, 3703 to public State schools and 1844 meals to nurseries.
  During the visits of the supervising nutritionists to the school units in Rancharia in the period from February 10th to 17th, school directors emphasized the high quality of meals and services and highlighted the food’s good taste and the pupils’ satisfaction and their confidence in the food prepared according to the hygiene standards and by very well trained employees. “I had access to the diet plans and to the nutritionists and could ascertain plenty of professionalism and dedication to the children” asseverates the mother Ana Paula Souza. “Outsourcing has improved everything. The children have fresh food every day and the diet is diversified. I’m very pleased, and so is my daughter”, says Moara M. Fava.
The most important benefit gained from the school catering outsourcing, is the school directors’ exclusive dedication to the educational and pedagogical approach. “I’m very satisfied with the outsourcing of school meals. The diversified diet plans enhance the scholars’ nutrition. Parents are indeed happy, and so are we”, states teacher Maria José Pereira, director of the School Maria Tereza Fumagalli and related entities.
Nutrition Education – Food Quality has been one of the Brazilian Public Health greatest concerns.
The intake of high-calorie food has been replacing old and good fruit, vegetable and greenery consumption habits. In Rancharia, Nutriplus Alimentação already started a project called “Orientation Interval” where nutritionists provide advice on the importance of healthy eating. A nutritionist is at the school’s disposal for nutrition advice. The school can tie such advice to the pedagogical projects in progress.

Nutriplus Alimentação has just won the bidding (the lowest price) to supply school meals in the city of Rancharia, located in the middle of the São Paulo State Southwestern region, more precisely in the micro region of Presidente Prudente Upper Sorocabana. This municipality is cut across by the river Capivari where water courses are dammed originating the Parque Balneario de Rancharia [Resort Park] at SP-351/Km 50 highway.
Rancharia’s history started in 1916 when the construction of the Sorocabana Railroad began in the region. The name Rancharia is also related to the emerging of the city. Historians say 'tropeiros'* and 'boiadeiros' [cattlemen] from Mato Grosso used to spend the nights in 'ranchos' [ranch] in the middle of the forest, even before the beginning of the railway construction.
As soon as the bid result was made public, Nutriplus Alimentação started to work for implementing all the necessary infrastructure in the city (50 employees altogether including cooks, nutritionists and administration personnel) in order to provide about 9000 meals a day.

Ignácio de Moraes talks toPresident Dilma about BBCA Brasil

Entrepreneur Ignácio de Moraes Junior, Presidentof JLJ Empresas andBBCA Brasil,and MrLi Roger Jie, President BBCA Group in Shanghai, met President Dilma Rousseff last week in order to present the project of BBCA Brasil, in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, namely the implantation of a corn processing plant with an initial investment of US$ 320 million financed by the China Development Bank.
During the conversation with President Dilma, the entrepreneur Ignácio de Moraes Junior also mentioned the possibility of establishing a new soybean crushing project in the State. “The investments have already been released by the Chinese Bank, about thousand jobs will be created and an area of nearly 210 thousand hectares will be used” he asseverated. President Dilma expressed her compliments to Ignácio de Moraes Junior and endorsed the project, which will further increase the country’s economic development. 
BBCA is the greatest Chinese state-owned citric acid manufacturer holding a 20% world market share, besides of producing vitamins A, B, C and E. In Maracaju, the site has been chosen for being the greatest corn production centre in South America and allowing the use the port of Porto Murtinho for logisticpurposes on the way to Uruguay, where large ships will take over the goods for export.

ISO 9001:2008

Management System of Nutriplus, Omega and Tracto is acknowledged as suitable and consistent by DQS Audit
The auditor Carlos Alberto Rodrigues da Silva from DQS do Brasil Ltda, a German management system certification organization, was the responsible for carrying out on August 29th and 30th, an external audit in order to maintain the ISO 9001:2008 Certificate of the companies Nutriplus Alimentação, Omega Alimentação and Tracto Logística, which belong to the Group JLJ Empresas. After verifying the processes in all the three organizations, the auditor could not find any irregularities. He congratulated the team and considered the system as suitable and consistent.
According to the Management of JLJ Empresas, both the consistency and adequacy must be accredited to the employees who showed knowledge and certainty in regard to their processes. “All of our employees are responsible for the excellent outcome and deserve our regards”.

Installation of BBCA Brasil in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul

During a meeting of business leaders and entrepreneurs of the company BBCA Brasil, among them its president, Ignácio de Morais Junior, the governor of the State  Mato Grosso do Sul, André Puccinelli reassured his commitment to the implantation of a corn processing plantwith an initial investment of US$ 320 millionfinanced by the China Development Bank.
In the course of the meeting, the Group presented the plant project schedule to the governor and talked about the possibility of establishing a new soybean crushing project. According to GovernorAndré Puccinelli, this would be a great opportunity for consolidating the logistics within the State. Tereza Cristina Correia da Costa, State Secretary of Agriculture, Production, Industry and Tourism Development, said the idea of raising the soy crushing industry came up during BBCA’s several visits to the MS. “The idea behind the soy crushing industry is to export processed soybean bran and soybean oil to China. Surely the city of Porto Murtinho will be an important port for MS and we expect to change the move of River Paraguay. We will be able to bring out important products to our State”.
In regard to the installation schedule of the corn processing plant in Maracaju, Tereza said that conversations have been held during the last four years. “We are finally making the last decisions on this subject. Initially the project was construed for a 600 thousand tons crushing capacity, but what pleases us most is not just the corn processing for obtaining soybean bran and oil, but also fine chemical products, such as citric acid and lysine and several other high value adding chemical products deriving from corn”.
According to President BBCA Brasil, Ignácio Moraes Júnior, the Maracaju County was chosen due to logistic reasons. “Only 150 km away from the city radius we can find the largest corn production of the entire country. The investment has been already released by the Chinese bank; about 1000 jobs will be created and an area of nearly 210 ha will be used. This is a great project for us, the Brazilian”, he said.
As to the future port facilities for the output of goods to be installed in Porto Murtinho, Moraes said the point was also chosen due to logistics. The goal is to send the goods by river ships to Uruguay, where great export vessels and ships will take over the goods for export.Our projects strongly involve logistics, since in Brazil this issue is very expensive”, he emphasized.

Nutriplus carries out conferences on healthy food in Salto’s cit

Nutriplus Alimentação and the City Hall of Salto by means of the Secretary of Education are promoting conferences on healthy food in several units of CEMUS, during the second half year 2013. The objective is bringing such an important subject close to the population, particularly since the lectures are given to scholars, teachers and parents. The first action was carried out on August 24th, when the nutritionist Caroline talked to scholars and parents from CEMUS VI about a better nutrition in childhood. The event was also attended by the City Mayor Juvenil Cirelli. The schedule is as follows:

Nutriplus wins bidding for school catering in Varginha

After winning the bid for the supply of school food catering in the city of Socorro in last June 2013, Nutriplus Alimentação has just won the bidding process for the supply of school catering services in the city of Varginha, State of Minas Gerais.
According to the company’s management, the date for starting the services in 37 schools to be catered by Nutriplus Alimentação has not been settled yet. A staff of about 100 employees will be hired and trained in order to render a quality service to the scholars.
The city of Varginha is run by inhabitants from the surrounding region looking for work they cannot find in their own cities of origin. Counting on 120 thousand inhabitants living in an area of 396,5 square kilometres, Varginha lies 380 km from Rio de Janeiro, 316 from São Paulo and 318 from Belo Horizonte thus facilitating the trade of coffee beans and other products through the only dry port existing in the South of Minas Gerais.

BMW Plant Canteen

NUTRIPLUS AND OMEGA ALIMENTAÇÃO RANK AMONG THE FINALISTS

Nutriplus and Omega Alimentação, organizations that belong to the Group JLJ Empresas, rank among the finalists in the food catering process at the BMW’s plant in Brazil. In 2014, the BMW Group will go one huge step further towards a long term commitment with the Brazilian market, by inaugurating a new plant in Araquari near to Joinville in the State of Santa Catarina.
The food catering bidding for the Brazilian plant was supervised by Atac and Cushman & Wakefield, technical consultants in collective food, and started in April, whereas the process shall be concluded by the end of next October. The BMW Group is one of the largest leading car manufacturers worldwide and counts on over 96 thousand employees in more than 140 countries.
According to the managing board of JLJ Empresas, being among the finalists in such an important bidding proves that Nutriplus and Omega Alimentação are performing their activities following international quality standards and meeting the customers’ needs.

The first BMW plant in Brazil starts its construction in about three months in the city of Araquari (Santa Catarina) and shall be ready by mid next year. Counting on investments of approximately R$ 1 billion, the unit will have the capacity of producing 32 thousand vehicles / year.
The first nationalized cars will leave the assembly line in September 2104.

Nutriplus gives conference talk on nutrition in Indaiatuba

Nutriplus Alimentação and the City Hall of Indaiatuba, by means of the Secretary of Education, promoted a conference on ´The importance of parents and educators in promoting healthy eating habits for our children´ given by nutritionist Valéria Paschoal, on August 13th at the Ciaei (Integrated Education Support Center of Indaiatuba). Almost 500 people, among them school managers, teachers, coordinators, School Council Members, APM (Parent Teacher Association) and EJA (Education for Young People and Adults) attended the lecture.

The city major of Indaiatuba, Mr Reinaldo Nogueira (PMDB Party) also attended the event, and the Secretary of Education, Ms Rita de Cássia Transferetti opened the conference highlighting the importance of acquiring knowledge in order to improve food habits. ´It’s a pleasure bringing such an important issue to the people. I want to thank for the presence of Ms Valéria here today. We hope all of you will multiply the knowledge gained here, because each one of you is important to the education and to the school. The subject discussed today will strengthen the change and improvement of eating habits. I also want to express my thankfulness to Nutriplus, our partner in this event, and to emphasize the work of DAE (School Nutrition Department)´ , said Rita.

Nutritionist Valéria Paschoal has graduated from the University Center São Camilo and accomplished her master degree in Nutrition and Pediatrics at the State of São Paulo Federal University (Unifesp-EPM). As conference guest speaker, she emphasized the health problems related to a poor diet. ´Unfortunately, aging-associated diseases such as elevation of cholesterol levels, increase of blood pressure and diabetes are more and more present in our children. Nutrition education exercised by health professionals and, especially, by parents and educators, is the only efficient tool for changing this reality´ , asseverates Valéria.

The School Nutrition Council visits the facilities of Nutriplus

Miembros del Consejo de Alimentación Escolar y de la Secretaría de la Educación de Uberaba (MG) visitaron las dependencias de Nutiplus Alimentação, localizada en Salto, SP, y también la filial de la ciudad de Indaiatuba. Acompañados por la gerente de la unidad, la nutricionista Angela Torcato, los visitantes conocieron todos los departamentos de la empresa, el centro de distribución y todas las etapas del proceso de producción de la alimentación escolar, en la cocina piloto de la ciudad de Indaiatuba.

La visita, coordinada por el gerente de marketing de la empresa, Antonio Valini,  también fue un importante momento para que las 10 nutricionistas contratadas por la Prefectura de Uberaba pudiesen conocer el potencial de Nutriplus Alimentação. 

En Uberaba, Nutriplus Alimentação cuenta con más de 250 colaboradores y suministra más de 40 mil comidas por día en 66 diferentes unidades educacionales.

Nutriplus takes over school catering in the city of Socorro

Nutriplus Alimentação, one of Latin America’s largest companies, just won the bid (lowest price) for the supply of school food catering services in the city of Socorro, countryside of the State of São Paulo. With mountain reliefs and a great hydrographic potential, the city is located along the margins of the “Rio do Peixe” [Fish River]. The beautiful and raging cascades attract more and more tourists looking for adventure tourism, nature, healthy climate, fresh air and the mineral water fountains with healing properties, besides of the traditional fabrics.

The company already counts on structured facilities in the city (70 employees for preparing the food, nutritionists and the administration branch) and will serve almost 8 thousand meals a day to children who attend nursery, preschool, elementary and secondary schools, as well as young and adult schools. During the presentation meeting held on August 12, 2013 at the premises of the City Hall of the Estancia de Socorro, the directors expressed their confidence in the partnership with Nutriplus Alimentação.

Nutriplus accomplishes a qualification course for cooks

Aiming to meet its internal manpower needs, Nutriplus Alimentação carried out a cook qualification course. The group of persons to be trained underwent a selection process taking the abilities required to attend the course into consideration.

The content of the course comprises the development of behavioural skills (ethics, empathy, individual differences, prejudice, communication and team work), occupational safety, food hygiene and manipulation concepts, good production practices and elaboration of preparations (main meals, sauces, salads, desserts).

Throughout the qualification, the participants passed through a time of practical training in the company’s food and nutrition units, under the oversight of supervisors who evaluated their performance and took the necessary corrective measures in order to meet the targets of the qualification process. After finishing the training, the participants were assigned to the cities of Salto, Itu and Indaiatuba.

According to the management of Nutriplus Alimentação, the qualification enhances the self-esteem of the participants, their relationships with others, quality of life and also improves the employees’ professional performance.

Operation of Nutriplus Alimentação In Chile

After having consolidate its name in the national market with a performance distinguished by quality, celerity, promptness, punctuality and, in the first place, by the competence of its staff, Nutriplus Alimentação has started an audacious and strategic international path extending its logistic capacity and know-how in the food catering sector. Along this path, the company won a bid in Chile in 2009 and supplied 10 thousand meals a day until December of 2012. In 2013, Nutriplus Alimentação again won the bid taking up the maximum allowed capacity, due to the company’s former performance in the country. In this way, Nutriplus delivers 130 thousand meals every day.

To the Management of Nutriplus Alimentação, having exceeded the Chilean Government expectations is a recognition of the company’s competence, precisely because Chile ranks among the world’s five best school feeding projects.

Certified to ISO 9001:2008, Nutriplus Alimentação has transferred to Chile, the know-how applied in Brazil.  The planning for deployment comprises hiring of 1200 employees, acquisition of 30 utility vehicles and 25 trucks, opening of an office in Santiago and installation of two large distribution centers in Puerto Montt and Osorno in order to supply the 520 schools that are catered by the company in the Lake Region of Chile.
